Sunday Nite Nudie

Guess she got warm?

(My child is not a giant baby, by the way, she just likes her mini pack-n-play instead of the large one.)

A True Horror Story

What is that? That is a dead animal. I thot at first it was a mouse, but upon further inspection, I believe it is a bird... or was that is before whatever came along and ate it, then excreted onto the playground, where my child found it and put it in her mouth. Oh. yes. she. did.

Lord. have. mercy.

Chicklette Flicklettes

This is from back in March... she loves her "show."

a Cupcake for my Cupcake

Here's pictures and a video from the "Princess' " birthday dinner. No, I didn't dress her up for the occasion, and no, I didn't give her chocolate. Honestly, I didn't want to have to worry about her staining something cute, and it ain't like she's gonna remember it or feel deprived. We'll save the messy chocolately fun for Mimi and the Hawkcrew to clean up in June! Oh, and we're getting use to our new camcorder, sorry for the jerky-jerkies. Also, you'll note my crazy-town mad-happy photo snapping going on in the background constantly. Sorry about that too, but it's my first child's birthday, so it's mandatory.

Note: You can kinda see it in these pictures, Eva's hair is getting curly! Too cute.

First taste...

...in this one she's saying, "yum."

Mummzie tried to show her Eva that it was ok to pick it up, but Eva was singularly focused.
"Mo' SUGAR NOW!"

She soon caught on to the "efficiency" however.

My child, ever delicate like a flower.

"What? That's all I get?"

"Cupcake didn't stand a chance, Mummzie. "
"More, please!"

And the birthday present:

Equally interested in the delightful dirt and sticks.

This picture cracks me up! Our one-legged child.

Happy birthday, kiddo.

Clearly we'll need to talk about modesty... maybe next year.

Look at me go! (12 Months Stats)

Evangeline's 12 month stats:

Height - 29in. 50% Weight - 20lb. 2oz. 35% Head Cir. - 50%
walk-crawling
kisses for everyone!

"look, ma! no hand!" (her shorts from Mimi camouflage her!)
Eva is growing fast and learning new things everyday! In the last month and a half she's picked up 3 new words (yuck, yeah, and hey - but i usually can't get her to say them on command), decided that Daddy and Mummzie should both be "da-da," waves nite-nite, blows kisses, sticks out her tongue at herself in the mirror, gives kisses to her mummzie, claps (all the time), points at new things she likes, plays peek-a-boo, cleans up her toys, likes to dance, stands holding on with one hand, and eats like a champ! (wait, that last one isn't new...) She's become more and more of a toddler (tho she can't toddle yet) with attitudes and independence. Walking and talking are not far off. E is walk-crawling half the time now and is picking up new sounds and singing constantly! I wonder which will come first? She's so much more demanding ("mummzie watch me!" "mummzie play with my toys!"), but she is, as always, so much fun. The more things she's doing the more nick-names she seems to collect. Her daddy calls her something new every day, but she's always his "Shady." Here are some of her nick-names, most, you can see, she's earned!

To Mommies Everywhere!

It's Love-Yo-Mama Day! Do the right thing and give her a call. She deserves it!

Mystery Rash

Eva woke up from her morning nap the other day with a mysterious squiggly "rash." I was rather horrified, as a good mother would be assuming the worst (worms!), until I found the culprit in her bed a moment later.
She loves her "LaCarol."

Art Show!

Well, Drawing and Design Class of Spring 2009 has officially ended with the celebration at our Art Show. It was a blast and so encouraging to both students and teacher. Love you guys!

Each student "presented" his or her work ...

...and spoke a little about their piece. (Ms. Kim is so adorable!)

Also presented were awards for character traits displayed in class. (So proud of you guys!)

And a few silly traits were noted as well.
Mingu was dubbed "Least Likely to Make a Sound."

The corner of less enthusiastic art show-goers.
(There wasn't any food, so my family quickly lost interest.)

And then Siobhan had to steal the show. Nobody was paying her any mind... just kidding! She's thanking me. (and I'm curtsying)
My Fabulous Class and Beautiful "TA" Kim
(minus 2 and adding in a few little extras)

Oh, and Songhwan the surprise "hambone."
I'm so proud of my kids! It was such a delight to work with them. I'm going to miss you all!
