We Heart Shenandoah

On our latest get-away, the Huz and I went to one of my favorite places on earth: the Shenandoah Valley. We stayed outside of Luray in a little town between the mountains called Strasburg. It was the best time of year to go - everything was GREEN.

My man and his mountain (the one seen from our hotel).

The River was quite swollen from all the spring rain. Couldn't fish, pooh. (see the sunken dock?!)

So we walked instead.

One of our days we spent at stunning Luray Caverns. Both of us had been as kids, but had only faint memories, so the underground hike was as amazing as seeing it all for the first time. This is the "lake" - it's hard to tell the scale, but it's only 3 feet tall here and the water is just 4in deep!

Looking down on the Wishing Well - people toss 1000s of dollars in here every year!
They have a sign showing the amounts given to charity each year. Adam suggested we wade in to get some lunch money.

Much of our time was spent walking and driving the beautiful countryside - farmers stands, flea markets, and sandwich shops - happiness.

i may heart shenandoah, but i LOVE my man.
